For candidates
Most of our assignments are filled from registered candidates before they are ever advertised. Registration is free, takes under an hour with your documents to hand, and covers every sector we supply.
We never charge work-seekers
Ready Staff does not charge a fee for finding or seeking to find you work. If any agency asks you to pay for that, treat it as a serious warning sign.
Why register with us
Paid weekly through PAYE where it applies to your assignment, with tax and National Insurance handled for you.
Tell us your availability and we will offer assignments that fit around it, across days, nights and weekends.
One registration covering multiple sectors, with a Key Information Document before you agree terms.
A real person to speak to about your assignment, your pay or a problem on site.
Experience across sectors, routes into supervisory roles, and temporary assignments that can become permanent.
Help understanding what documents you need and what a role requires, before you commit to it.
Upload and manage your documents online, with reminders before anything is due to expire.
We describe what the job actually involves. A role that sounds better than it is helps nobody past the first shift.
The process
Tell us who you are, the work you are looking for and your availability. Registration is free — we never charge work-seekers.
Your work history, skills, certifications and the sectors and shift patterns that suit you.
Right to Work evidence, photographic ID, proof of address and any licences or certificates for the roles you want.
We verify your documents, obtain references and arrange any role-specific checks such as a DBS where required.
Assignments may be offered based on availability, compliance status, skills, experience and client requirements.
You receive a Key Information Document setting out pay, holiday and deductions before you agree terms.
You arrive briefed on the site, the shift, the dress code and who to report to — not working it out on the day.
Submit your hours, get paid weekly through PAYE with tax and National Insurance handled, and receive a payslip each period.
Before you start
Depending on the role
Pay and holiday
Every agency work-seeker must receive one before agreeing terms. It sets out who is paying you, the type of contract, the minimum rate you can expect, how holiday is handled and any deductions or fees.
If you have not received one, ask for it. It exists precisely so that none of this is a surprise on your first payslip.

We never charge work-seekers a fee. Right to Work and identity are verified before assignment, workers are paid into their own accounts, and exploitation indicators are escalated rather than filed.
Read the full policySafety information is obtained from the client before workers are confirmed, PPE responsibility is agreed in advance, and no worker is asked to do a task they have not been trained or authorised for.
Read the full policyCandidates are assessed against the role and nothing else. Discriminatory client requests are declined and referred for review, and reasonable adjustments can be requested at any stage.
Read the full policyExploitation, unsafe work, discrimination, or anyone asking a worker to pay a fee. Report it confidentially — anonymously if you prefer. Nobody who raises a concern in good faith is treated unfavourably for it.
