Recruitment Fraud and Online Safety
Recruitment fraud targets people looking for work — often those who can least afford to lose money. This page sets out what Ready Staff will and will not do, so you can check any message that claims to be from us.
What Ready Staff will never do
If any of the following happens, the communication is not from Ready Staff, however convincing it looks.
- We will never ask you to pay a fee to find you work, to register, to be shortlisted, or to be placed
- We will never ask you to pay for training, equipment, a uniform, a DBS check or an admin fee as a condition of being offered work
- We will never ask for your password, and we will never ask you to confirm it by email or message
- We will never ask for your full bank card details, card PIN, or online banking login
- We will never ask you to receive money into your account and forward it on
- We will never ask you to buy gift cards, vouchers or cryptocurrency for any reason
- We will never offer you a job without any form of screening or conversation
- We will never ask you to send identity documents through an informal messaging app to an unverified contact
Our commitment. Ready Staff never charges a work-seeker a fee for finding or seeking to find them work. There are no exceptions to this, and there is no circumstance in which a genuine member of our team would ask you for one.
How to verify a communication
If you receive a message, call or email you are unsure about, do not use the contact details it gives you. Contact us independently using the details on this website.
- Our website is https://readystaff.co.uk — check the address carefully for extra words, hyphens or different endings
- Our email addresses end in @readystaff.co.uk. An address ending in a free email domain is not us
- You can always call us on 07774 002324 to check whether a message is genuine
- Our office is at 214 1st & 2nd Floors, High Street, Hounslow, TW3 1HB
- If a message creates urgency and discourages you from checking, treat that as a warning sign in itself
Warning signs of recruitment fraud
- A payment is requested at any stage, for any reason
- A job offer arrives for a role you never applied for
- The pay offered is far above the going rate for the work described
- The sender's email domain does not match the company they claim to represent
- Communication happens only through a messaging app and never by phone or from a company address
- You are pressured to decide immediately, or told the offer expires within hours
- You are asked for identity documents or bank details before any interview or screening
- Poor spelling and grammar, or a generic greeting that does not use your name
- You are asked to open an account with a specific bank or money service chosen by the sender
- You are asked to keep the arrangement confidential from family or friends
Fake websites, adverts and social media accounts
Fraudsters may copy a legitimate agency's branding, create lookalike domains, post fake job advertisements on job boards and social media, or impersonate named recruiters.
A convincing logo proves nothing. Verify through the contact details on this website rather than through details supplied in the advert or message.
If you have already paid or shared information
You have not done anything foolish — these frauds are designed by people who do this professionally, and they succeed against careful people.
- Contact your bank immediately if you have made a payment or shared banking details
- Change your password anywhere you have reused the one you disclosed
- Report it to Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud reporting centre, on 0300 123 2040 or at actionfraud.police.uk
- In Scotland, report to Police Scotland on 101
- Tell us at compliance@readystaff.co.uk so we can act on the impersonation and warn others
- Keep the messages, emails and any payment references as evidence

Reporting a suspected scam to us
Please tell us about anything claiming to be Ready Staff that you believe is fraudulent — a message, an advert, a website or a social media account. Email compliance@readystaff.co.uk, use our confidential reporting form, or call 07774 002324.
Include the sender's details, the platform, any reference numbers and screenshots where you have them. Reporting helps us get fraudulent material taken down and warn other work-seekers.
How we protect your information
This public website deliberately does not collect identity documents, bank details or Right to Work evidence. Those are only ever handled through our secured candidate onboarding process once it is available, and never through a general contact form.
If a form on any website claiming to be Ready Staff asks you to upload a passport or enter bank details, do not use it — check with us first.
