Terms and Conditions of Business
The basis on which Ready Staff supplies temporary and permanent staff to clients. These terms are summarised here; the signed terms agreed with your account take precedence.
Scope
These terms describe the general basis on which we supply temporary workers and introduce permanent candidates. Specific commercial terms, including rates and fees, are agreed in writing with each client and take precedence over this summary.
Temporary workers
- Temporary workers supplied by us are engaged by Ready Staff; the client directs and supervises their work on site.
- The client is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of temporary workers while on the client's premises, including site induction and provision of any site-specific equipment agreed.
- Charges are based on hours worked as approved by the client. Approval of a timesheet is confirmation that the hours were worked.
- The client will notify us promptly of any concern about a worker's performance or conduct so that it can be addressed.
Permanent placements
- Introduction fees are calculated as an agreed percentage of the candidate's starting remuneration package.
- A fee becomes payable where the client engages an introduced candidate, whether directly or through another party, within the period stated in the agreed terms.
- Rebate arrangements, where applicable, are set out in the agreed terms.
Transfer of temporary workers
Where a client wishes to engage a temporary worker directly, or to extend an assignment beyond the agreed period, transfer arrangements apply as set out in the agreed terms. We will always set these out before an assignment starts rather than raising them afterwards.
Client compliance obligations
By engaging workers through Ready Staff, clients confirm that they will meet the expectations set out in our Modern Slavery Statement, Health and Safety Policy and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.
- Workers will not be subjected to forced labour, coercion or unlawful deductions
- Worker identity documents will not be retained at the site
- A safe workplace, induction, supervision and agreed protective equipment will be provided
- Staffing requests will be based on legitimate role requirements and free from unlawful discrimination
- The client will cooperate with any compliance investigation we need to carry out
Important. Ready Staff may decline or suspend supply where serious compliance concerns arise. That decision sits with management and is not subject to commercial override.
Payment
Invoices are payable within the period stated in the agreed terms. We may charge interest on overdue amounts in accordance with applicable legislation.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Other limitations are set out in the agreed written terms.
